Hi. I'm Dr. Julie Madsen , a California-licensed psychologist [PSY13979). I have worked in the greater Palm Springs area for almost  20 years. As you might expect, I treat stress and conflict issues of all kinds. I work with children, single adults, couples and families.

I also have a specialty practice in sports psychophysiology, consulting with coaches, individual athletes, and teams to perform optimally under stress.

I use mindfulness,  in concert with applied neuroscience technologies like Q-EEG mind maps, stress profiles, somatic mind-body biofeedback and brainwave neurofeedback as coaching strategies to improve performance., deal with stress, and achieve  an inner calmness.


MISSION STATEMENT:
I love the challenges my clients bring to me. You deserve the best in applied clinical psychology. Advances in NeuroScience and Mindfulness in the last decade are improving how we think about many issues in individual psychology, family studies and behavioral medicine. These advances have already changed many areas of applied clinical psychology, including ADD, emotional reactivity, stress resilience, conflict management and coping with pain and disability. I am excited to bring the latest technology to my clients.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
If needed, our Institute provides a variety of objective psychological tests. We can also provide state-of-the-art  neuroscience-based techniques, such as functional Q-EEG, and biofeedback, and neurofeedback technologies.

My goal is to correct habits and optimize performance. Neuroscience has new insights into old problems, so even if you tried before and had marginal benefits, you might want to give this a try.
